I hope you’ve had a great week whatever you’ve been getting up to. As for the baby-version of yourself, well… yet other eventful week has passed by!
Not only do you now have two fully-operational and extremely sharp front teeth, but you’re also becoming a dab hand at walking – without our help.
So, I’ve been blogging for a few months now and during my usual crawl of the many great dad blogs this morning I came across the ‘LoveAllDads’ 2014 awards nominations.
Now, I’m not going to put myself forward for ‘best blog’ or even ‘most entertaining’ – after all, I only currently post one type of post! I am, however, feeling confident enough to put myself up for ‘Best Newcomer in 2014‘.
Sorry for the delay little man, we’ve been so busy this week! The good thing is, our house is starting to look emptier; so there’ll be a lot less to shift on moving day!
With another week going by so quickly it’s hard to keep track of how much you change! This week, video seems to have been the easiest way to capture your antics.
How has your week been? Mummy and Daddy have been very busy sorting our house out ready for the big move. Packing, shifting and sorting… we’re a little tired now to say the least!
You’ve had a fantastic week from a developmental point of view; in fact, I have a big announcement to make.
How’s it going? As you may have seen in the comments last week, I was chatting to one of my blogging friends, Laura, about how you may go about reading/contacting me by the time you read this… and to be honest, I have no idea! Assuming things stay more-or-less the same as they are now, you may well be reading this letter on a tablet or your mobile phone; but who knows?!
Hey there little man,
Before I let you know what you’ve been getting up to, I want to try something. When you’re reading this either text me, call me, shout for me… wherever you are and wherever I am – I want us to read one of these letters together. Do that now and I’ll be right with you.
Ok, so it’s a little later than originally planned, but I’m here now! Daddy took a few days off at the end of last week to celebrate his 26th Birthday with you and Mummy. We had a fantastic time and had lots of fun!
Afternoon little man! How’s your day going? I do wonder when I write these posts, what exactly will we be doing when you read them; how old will you be? Where will you be sat? What will you be reading them on?! Only time will tell, I guess – so let’s get stuck in…
Your latest habit (moving on from bath splashing last week!) – well it’s more of a development really – is your dancing. You’re really starting to learn some moves! Sadly, you’re not quite as smooth as your Daddy yet (no comments, please), but we’ll get you there. Here’s a short clip of you dancing to some tunes in the garden at Nana Moo’s house (Nana Moo, if I’ve not already explained, is Mummy’s mum. I’m not entirely sure where the name came from, but it stuck!):
It’s Friday again Isaac – and yet again another week in which you’ve reached countless new developments has gone by. In fact, there isn’t a day that goes by when you don’t change slightly – you’re learning so fast!
Last week’s funny habit was blurting – and while you’re really getting into the swing of this still, you’ve started something we knew was on its way… bath splashing.
Afternoon little man, here we are again! I was told once that as you grow older the weeks start going by before the blink of an eye… and that’s certainly true! Since you came along, time has flown; in the best possible way.
Every single day you’re developing – and I’m so proud of everything you have done and of who you are. It fills me with so much pride and happiness to call you my son.
As usual, we’ve done so much this week – we’ve even started packing boxes up ready to move to our new house (that should all go through in time for the start of September; we’re all very excited!).
